What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize modular dbt pipelines and performant technical schemas.
• Act as a technical bridge between Analytics, Operations, and Data Engineering to transform requirements into robust data assets.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks to reduce query latencies and warehouse compute costs, specifically for Snowflake.
• Participate in rigorous peer code reviews and enforce strict data security standards.
• Mentor junior peers and adopt AI-assisted development tools to accelerate workflows.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or technical data analytics.
• Expert-level SQL proficiency and deep data modeling experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining modular data pipelines using dbt in production.
• Proven experience designing schemas and optimizing performance on modern cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Absolute comfort with production git workflows and automated data quality testing.
• Must be based in the United States (excluding Hawaii).

Nice to have

• Experience with HIPAA-compliant data environments or electronic health records.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake architectures and data migrations.
• Active experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Basic Python proficiency for pipeline orchestration.
