What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of data pipelines and warehouse architecture from design through production.
• Administer and harden data infrastructure, focusing on schema design, performance tuning, and cost-aware optimization.
• Embed data quality, governance, and lineage into pipelines by default.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into clear technical designs and scope cross-functional dependencies.
• Define and codify repeatable engineering standards and mentor team members through design and code reviews.
• Structure data models and metadata to enable safe and accurate querying by AI agents.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or combined software/data engineering roles.
• Expert-level SQL and strong Python proficiency with production-grade application experience.
• Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT design, ingestion methods, and orchestration tools like dbt or Airflow.
• Hands-on experience with modern lakehouse/warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or Trino.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
• Comfort operating with minimal DevOps/IT support on core database administration.
