Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of facility control systems, SCADA platforms, fire alarm systems, gas monitoring solutions, and other life-safety systems.
• Develop P&IDs, control loop drawings, wiring diagrams, technical data sheets, and sequences of operation.
• Select and size instruments, control devices, and valves for procurement and project delivery.
• Review vendor submittals and engineering deliverables for compliance with NFPA 70, UL 508A, national codes, and client safety standards.
• Support project proposals, budgets, schedules, client presentations, and multidisciplinary technical coordination.
• Perform field walks, construction support, system validation, commissioning, and BIM coordination using Revit and Navisworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer licensure is highly preferred or must be obtainable.
• 6+ years of industrial control systems engineering and design experience.
• Hands-on experience with PLC-based systems, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Modicon.
• Experience in high-tech industrial sectors such as semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or data center facilities.
• Working knowledge of industrial networks, OT cybersecurity, power distribution, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks; ability to climb ladders and walk long distances on job sites.
