Automation & Controls Engineer (Industrial Manufacturing)

Location: Richardson, Texas, USA; on-site. Travel of up to 30% may be required for customer inspections, commissioning, and start-ups.

What you will do

• Design instrumentation systems for new plants and existing plant upgrades.
• Design and develop control panels for industrial systems and manufacturing operations.
• Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC- and HMI-based plant control systems.
• Participate in customer site inspections, controls commissioning, and plant start-ups.
• Guide designers and review project team deliverables.
• Analyze plant processes, develop technical improvements, and support proposals with technical scope, budgets, and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–10 years of experience in instrumentation design and/or controls, including manufacturing environments.
• PLC and HMI programming experience with the Allen Bradley platform.
• Experience with Wonderware, Ignition, and AutoCAD.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and identifying reliable technical solutions.
• Availability to work on-site in Richardson, Texas, and travel up to 30% as needed.

• Knowledge of Red Lion, Crimson, and Siemens Simatic Step7.
