TL;DR

HRBP (UKG, Multi-Site, M&A): Serve as primary HR point of contact for portfolio companies, handling employee relations, compliance resolution, and post-acquisition integrations with an accent on multi-state operations, HRIS training, and talent strategy. Focus on building feedback channels from field-level insights, managing investigations and disciplinary actions, and driving workforce planning across distributed locations.

Location: On-site in Tampa, FL or Miami, FL

Salary: $100K - $120K

Fast-growing portfolio company owning and operating businesses across 40 US states, completing 10–15 acquisitions per year with centralized HR, operations, and shared services.

What you will do

  • Serve as primary HR contact for assigned portfolio companies, partnering with local managers and corporate BizOps leaders on organizational changes and daily operations.
  • Manage employee relations end-to-end, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and compliance remediation across distributed sites.
  • Deliver HRIS (UKG) training, provide user support, and escalate system issues while gathering field feedback to improve SOPs and services.
  • Build feedback channels to surface ground-level insights, analyze trends, and recommend improvements to employee experience and operations.
  • Lead talent and workforce planning, including succession plans, compensation adjustments, and staffing models to support business growth and financial targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of HRBP experience supporting multi-site or multi-state organizations
  • Working knowledge of multi-state employment law
  • Hands-on UKG experience (Pro and/or Workforce Management)
  • Experience managing employee relations cases, including investigations and disciplinary actions
  • Strong operating partnership skills and ability to handle M&A integrations with founder-led operators

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting acquired businesses post-close and post-merger integration
  • Background as embedded HRBP in multi-location, decentralized environments
  • Familiarity with seasonal/part-time workforces
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification
