TL;DR

Manager, Human Resources (Accounting Firm): Lead and execute HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, payroll oversight, and benefits administration with an accent on strategic partnership to leadership and operational efficiency. Focus on aligning HR initiatives with business goals, managing full-cycle talent acquisition, and ensuring regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local laws.

Location: Onsite in Woodbury, NY 11797 (reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work required). Operates as part of a US East Coast-based team with EST working hours (9:00am–5:30pm).

Salary: $115K–$130K

What you will do

  • Partner with leadership on strategic HR including organizational design, workforce planning, and policy development.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Lead performance reviews, employee development, training, and leadership pipeline building.
  • Handle employee relations, inquiries, investigations, and engagement initiatives.
  • Oversight payroll accuracy, benefits administration, and HRIS data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, conduct audits, and manage HR projects like implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–7 years progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in managerial/supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, employee relations, performance management, benefits.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to handle confidential information.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) or advanced degree preferred.
