Site Lead (Engineering)

TL;DR

Site Lead (Engineering): Leading the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wind turbines and related equipment with an accent on technical leadership and safety compliance. Focus on training service technicians, performing root cause analyses, and ensuring operational efficiency of clean power plants.

Location: Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada. Must be able to work in Canada with no Company sponsorship

Salary: $54 - $58 CAD hourly

What you will do

• Lead and support Service Technicians in the troubleshooting, repair, and retrofitting of low to medium voltage electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
• Provide training on component assembly, commissioning, testing, and preventative maintenance processes (e.g., Infrared, Corona, and Ultrasonic surveys).
• Conduct safety analyses of potential hazards and train personnel in the proper use of safety gear and energy control.
• Perform Root Cause Analyses to accurately determine the reasons for equipment failures.
• Manage tool inventory, consumables, and spare parts at the wind farm.
• Schedule and track the progress of preventative maintenances to ensure compliance with guidelines.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical certificate, or 4+ years of directly related work experience.
• 5 years of directly related work experience in wind energy or similar technical fields.
• Ability to be certified and work with both medium and high voltage equipment.
• Must possess a full, valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship and travel to the US for training.
• English: Fluent proficiency required to communicate safety and job-related information.
• Physical ability to climb vertical ladders (up to 100m) and manipulate up to 23kg.

• Experience with SAP, J.D. Edwards, and Maximo systems.
