What you will do
- Conduct fieldwork, environmental sampling, and site assessments at various project locations.
- Collect and manage data on water quality, benthic invertebrates, fish, sediment, and periphyton.
- Prepare technical summary reports for internal use and regulatory applications.
- Maintain monitoring instrumentation and ensure the proper custody of environmental samples.
- Prepare and manage shipments of samples to laboratories.
- Provide technical input to projects based on fisheries and aquatics expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of previous experience in fisheries or aquatics field work.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
- Site travel is required, including some weekend work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
