TL;DR

Commercial Pricing Strategist (Finance/Aerospace): Developing and enabling data-driven pricing strategies to balance market competitiveness, regulatory requirements, and margin objectives with an accent on commercial strategy and regulatory compliance. Focus on building advanced financial models, analyzing government pricing requirements, and influencing cross-functional leadership to drive margin realization.

Location: Hybrid – Buffalo, NY. Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Operationalize commercial pricing strategies, moving from reactive decision-making to a deliberate, market-driven approach.
  • Develop and execute pricing for a portfolio of products across targeted customer segments and end markets.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to translate customer behavior and geographic variations into actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze government and public-sector pricing requirements for complex proposals to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate pricing scenarios, margin impact, and elasticity.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Business Leadership to improve win rates and enhance margin realization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in pricing, commercial strategy, or finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and pricing analytics.
  • Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and align them around pricing decisions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with government pricing and understanding of FAR, DFARS, TINA, or CAS.
  • Exposure to value-based pricing and segmentation strategies.
  • Familiarity with BI platforms or ERP systems to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with Commerciality COE models or enterprise commercial excellence programs.
