Infrastructure Engineer (Manufacturing)

Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes): Defining the technical direction for the infrastructure platform powering automated manufacturing across multiple factory sites with an accent on cloud, edge, and factory-floor systems. Focus on architecting multi-cluster Kubernetes, designing reusable IaC patterns, and reducing systemic operational complexity.

Salary: $200,000 - $280,000

What you will do

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and OpenTofu.
• Build and manage Kubernetes clusters, utilizing EKS in the cloud and K0s/K3s at the edge.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Architect networking between factory sites, edge devices, and cloud systems.
• Implement observability and monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
• Establish engineering standards and drive build-vs-buy technology evaluations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (ITAR requirement).
• Deep expertise in Terraform/IaC, including module development and testing.
• Production-level Kubernetes experience, including troubleshooting and multi-cluster patterns.
• Proven ability to design infrastructure across cloud, containers, and networking.
• Strong security instincts regarding threat modeling and least privilege.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience with Terraform module architecture and testing.
• Background in building full CI/CD platforms.
• Experience with edge or IoT infrastructure in manufacturing, defense, or robotics.
