Location: Remote across Canada, the US, and the UK

Salary: $98,400 – $147,600

What you will do

• Build and maintain production infrastructure on AWS EKS using Terraform and Helm to ensure platform reliability.
• Develop Shipyard's self-service capabilities, including CLI tooling and GitOps pipelines via ArgoCD.
• Own on-call responsibilities, creating runbooks and post-mortems to improve system observability and stability.
• Collaborate with product managers to identify and eliminate platform friction and developer toil.
• Maintain alignment within a distributed team through high-quality documentation and code reviews.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada, the US, or the UK.
• 3 to 5 years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, including cluster operations, Helm, RBAC, and networking.
• Proficiency in Terraform, specifically in writing modules and managing remote state.
• Fluency in AWS core services and container orchestration.
• Experience building internal tools (CLIs, shared modules, pipeline templates) and observability concepts (SLIs, SLOs).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash for operational automation.
