Member of Technical Staff, Infrastructure (AWS/Kubernetes): Designing and managing a scalable, secure cloud platform for a workplace management ecosystem with an accent on Kubernetes orchestration and Infrastructure as Code. Focus on optimizing cluster resource usage, automating AWS infrastructure, and enhancing the internal developer experience.

Location: On-site (requires 4 days a week in San Francisco, CA)

Salary: $205,000 – $225,000

What you will do

• Architect cloud-based solutions and collaborate with application teams on design and deployment.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure, including optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Provision and automate AWS resources using Terraform to ensure platform consistency.
• Develop tools and frameworks to implement Kubernetes best practices.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to resolve incidents and conduct post-mortems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain high standards for code, systems, and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• 3+ years of experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Strong expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, or Go, as well as bash.
• Must be based in San Francisco and available to work on-site 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday).

Nice to have

• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• SOC2 and/or ISO27001 compliance and audit experience.
• Experience with security engineering and vulnerability management.
