Location: Remote - USA (EST timezone highly prioritized due to collaboration with Europe)

What you will do

• Lead design and evolution of RKE2 Kubernetes clusters across dev, acceptance, and production, including upgrades, capacity planning, networking, and resilience.
• Architect and maintain Terraform IaC for AWS environments, creating scalable modules and patterns.
• Own end-to-end CI/CD with GitHub Actions, optimizing pipelines for reliability and performance.
• Drive GitOps delivery using Flux CD, standardizing Helm charts and Kustomize overlays.
• Define container image lifecycles, security policies, monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices.
• Mentor engineers, collaborate with product, security, and compliance teams, and advocate for best practices.

Requirements

• Deep experience operating Kubernetes at production scale: cluster management, Helm, networking, storage, tuning, troubleshooting.
• Expert Terraform for multi-environment cloud infra, including modules and state management.
• Strong Linux admin skills (RHEL-like): networking, storage, systemd, scripting.
• Extensive CI/CD design (GitHub Actions/Jenkins) focused on reliability and DX.
• Deep AWS knowledge (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, EBS, Lambda, networking/security).
• Strong operational mindset: ownership of reliability, proactive failure mode thinking, automation.

• Container registry ops, image signing, OCI management.
