Salary: $133,100 - $212,500 CAD (for Ottawa)

What you will do
- Develop implementation specifications based on architecture and functional requirements for FEC IP.
- Create and integrate new and existing RTL and C source code, algorithms, and functions.
- Perform designer testing and debug code during simulation and regression verification.
- Create timing constraints, analyze synthesis logs, and perform timing report analysis and layout reviews.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, architects, and verification teams to ensure design integrity.
- Mentor and supervise junior verification engineers to foster technical and professional growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of ASIC/FPGA design experience successfully delivering complex designs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in System Verilog, C/C++, SDC, STA, CDC, and major vendor simulators.
- Experience with high level synthesis (HLS) tools and methodologies.
- Proven ability to implement designs to timing closure.
Nice to have
- Strong background in Forward Error Correction (FEC) and/or DSP.
- Familiarity with Python, Make, bash, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with design for low power.
- Proficiency in Jira for bug tracking and GIT for source code management.
- Previous experience in leading and mentoring teams.
