Senior Cost Accounting Manager (Manufacturing): Serve as the primary finance partner to manufacturing operations, providing insight and guidance on cost performance, efficiency, and profitability with an accent on product costing, variance analysis, and overhead management. Focus on leading manufacturing budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and detailed cost models for new product introductions, pricing decisions, and program bids.
Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or certain protected individuals).
Salary: $140,000 β $190,000 base + equity. Salary based on knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do
- Provide financial analysis to operational leadership on production volume, capacity utilization, labor efficiency, and make/buy decisions.
- Own product costing process including bills of material, labor standards, overhead application, and variance analysis.
- Analyze manufacturing variances (labor, material, overhead, yield) and drive corrective actions with operations teams.
- Manage manufacturing overhead pools, allocation bases, rates, annual rate setting, monitoring, and true-ups.
- Lead manufacturing budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and cost models for new products, pricing, and bids.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Management for accurate cost visibility and data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR export control regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting rules and their impact on financial modeling and reporting.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts simply and interact with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to perform complex account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
