TL;DR
Senior Financial Analyst (Aerospace): Developing financial models, forecasts, variance reports, dashboards, and KPI analyses for aerospace and defense business operations with an accent on FP&A, financial reporting, and cross-functional decision support. Focus on analyzing complex financial data, supporting Oracle ERP migration, improving reporting processes, and translating operational performance into actionable insights.

Location: Burbank, California, United States. The position is onsite. Access to controlled data may be required; where applicable, only US Persons will be considered under ITAR requirements.

Salary: $128,736–$156,521 per year, with some roles eligible for performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

  • Support strategy, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and KPI forecasting for the local entity and business units.
  • Prepare and analyze P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance reports against budgets, forecasts, and prior-year results.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses for customer programs, projects, investments, and operational initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights on revenue, spending, working capital, capital expenditures, and department performance.
  • Build and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and KPIs while supporting the Oracle ERP migration.
  • Support month-end close, review and approve journal entries, and lead financial reporting process improvements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst or equivalent analytical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience.
  • Experience developing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and financial models.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools; strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow, and performance metrics.
  • US Person eligibility may be required for access to ITAR-controlled data.

Nice to have

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or another relevant professional certification.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP systems, financial planning tools, dashboards, project-based analysis, or public companies.
