TL;DR
Health & Safety Analyst (OHS Canada): Support and strengthen health and safety across Canadian programs by acting as primary safety liaison between corporate safety, operations, and subcontracted partners with an accent on evaluating responsibilities in subcontractor and trade work. Focus on assessing exposure, designing compliant safety plans aligned with provincial OHS requirements, and conducting site visits to identify gaps and recommend mitigations.
Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. Mostly remote with occasional travel (3–4 trips/year) and in-office meetings; programs focused on Ontario and British Columbia.
$35–$40/hour CAD (range $29.30–$50.85)

What you will do
- Serve as primary health & safety contact for Canadian programs, focusing on subcontracted and trade-based work.
- Assess safety risks and responsibilities for contractors across provinces.
- Design and implement program-specific safety plans compliant with OHS legislation.
- Partner with Operations, Legal, and Safety teams to mitigate risks.
- Conduct site visits and reviews to identify safety gaps.
- Support compliance, audits, and influence adoption of safety practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years progressive health & safety experience in Canada, ideally construction/trades/subcontractors.
- Post-secondary in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
- Experience building/managing safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of provincial OHS, especially Ontario/BC.
- Independence, judgment, communication, and influence skills.
- Comfort with remote work, periodic travel, and in-office meetings.
- Authorized to work in Canada; no sponsorship.
Nice to have
- CRSP or CRST designation.
- Ability to speak French.
