Trades 2 - Painter

TL;DR

Trades 2 - Painter: Perform skilled painting work in surface and paint preparation and application of paint, stains, vinyl and paper wall coverings, epoxy coatings and other protective and decorative coatings to buildings, fixtures and furniture with an accent on interior and exterior structures. Focus on matching and mixing paints, utilizing brush, roller and spray techniques, and performing minor repairs.

Location: Onsite at hirify.global facilities in British Columbia, Canada. Valid BC Driver's Licence required.

Salary: $6,774–$7,226 CAD monthly

What you will do

• Request and obtain materials and equipment for assigned painting jobs.
• Match and mix paints and stains, perform surface preparation including scraping, power washing, sandblasting, caulking, and plastering.
• Apply paint, stains, wall coverings, epoxy, and other coatings using brush, roller, and spray techniques to buildings, fixtures, and furniture.
• Make estimates, produce inspection reports, and perform emergency call-outs.
• Ensure workplace safety, communicate with customers, and train apprentices or labourers as needed.
• Perform minor glass repairs and assist with related duties.

Requirements

• Trades certification to journeyperson level as a Painter
• Valid BC Driver's Licence
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent
• Willingness to respect diverse perspectives and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
