What you will do

• Lead the design of complex UAV mechanical systems, including advanced airframes and propulsion systems.
• Oversee the development, testing, and root cause analysis of UAV prototypes to ensure performance and reliability.
• Conduct in-depth stress, strain, fatigue, and thermal management analysis for systems in extreme conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems with avionics, sensors, and software.
• Drive R&D for advanced materials, focusing on composites and lightweight alloys.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Authorization to work in the US and completion of E-Verify identity verification.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD (specifically SolidWorks) and GD&T.
• Experience with FEA, DFMA, and advanced simulation tools.
• Strong expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, structural mechanics, and aerodynamics.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience dedicated specifically to UAV development.
• Expertise in CFD and advanced composite materials.
• Familiarity with aerospace certification processes (e.g., DO-160, AS9100).
