What you will do

• Own end-to-end engineering of fluid systems and components, including compressors, valves, and heat exchangers.
• Perform complex thermal and fluids analysis using first-principle hand calculations and finite element tools.
• Execute trade studies to optimize systems and ensure they meet program requirements.
• Develop manufacturing and assembly instructions, test plans, and manage the Bill-Of-Materials (BOM).
• Identify and develop suppliers for all critical system components.
• Lead risk analysis (FMEA) for subsystems.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) Mechanical license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in designing, building, and testing fluids systems.
• Proficiency in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat exchanger design and analysis.
• Must be compliant with U.S. export controls.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of thermodynamic power cycles.
• Experience with process piping design and testing codes (ASME B31.3 and ASME PCC-2).
• Prior experience with fluid system modeling via Matlab or Python.
• Experience in design for manufacturability and operating test stands.
