What you will do

• Develop thermal cooling strategies for next-generation, high-performance switching products.
• Perform complete thermal analysis and design independently using Icepak.
• Support hardware and product management teams with spreadsheet calculations and detailed simulation results.
• Collaborate with Electrical design and hardware validation teams to ensure overall system requirements are met.
• Conduct engineering experimental tests to verify design and correlate results with computational models.

Requirements

• MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in thermal design and analysis using Icepak, FloTHERM, or SmartCFD.
• Experience with high power (>800W) SoC liquid cooling thermal models and system-level analysis.
• Proficiency in numerical modeling based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Deep understanding of heat transfer modes, heat sink design, heat pipes, and thermal interface materials.
• Location: Position is based in Santa Clara, California

• Experience using ProEngineer (PTC Creo).
