What you will do

• Model and simulate steady-state and dynamic behavior of distribution system equipment including transformers, lines, generators, and relays.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain DMS products such as distribution power flow, state estimation, and fault restoration.
• Research and implement advanced optimization solutions like volt-var optimization and optimal power flow for DER and VPP control.
• Participate in use case and design discussions, create test procedures, perform code testing, develop documentation, and conduct technical code reviews.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Mathematics or related field; PhD in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems emphasis preferred.
• Understanding of power systems concepts in distribution modeling, operation, protection, coordination, DER integration, and control.
• Experience in power flow calculation, state estimation, DER control, and/or network optimization.
• Experience with power systems simulation tools such as MATLAB, PSCAD, or PSSE.
• Programming experience using Matlab, Python, C/C++, and/or C#.
• Self-motivated with commitment to deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience in data analytics and artificial intelligence applied to power system analysis and optimization.
