What you will do

• Lead and scale an engineering team responsible for highly leveraged capabilities across security, science execution, and analytics.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, and Product Security to define platform strategy, priorities, and standards.
• Oversee the delivery of core services, including delegated authentication, model packaging, and customer-facing insights.
• Ensure platform-critical services meet high standards for security, availability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Establish operational maturity within the team, focusing on incident management and root-cause analysis.
• Coach and develop engineers and senior contributors to foster technical leadership and execution discipline.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in the software development industry.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineers in agile environments.
• Experience leading a shared platform or infrastructure-adjacent team supporting multiple products.
• Strong people-management skills, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
• Experience partnering with Architecture and Security teams to deliver enterprise-level services.
• Must be based in Houston, TX for hybrid office attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices-based architectures and evolving distributed services.
• Experience building and operating cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure at enterprise scale.
• Track record of making sound technical and delivery decisions in complex environments with competing priorities.
