TL;DR
Engineering Manager (Infrastructure): Leading the infrastructure team to build the foundation for a residential virtual power plant with an accent on cloud accounts, networking, security, and CI/CD. Focus on scaling the platform, improving developer experience, and managing operational health through SLOs and incident response.
Location: Remote (Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship)
Salary: $200,000 - $240,000 + 15% annual bonus

What you will do
- Manage, hire, and develop a team of 7 engineers across infrastructure sub-disciplines.
- Translate company priorities into a technical roadmap balancing reliability, security, and product needs.
- Oversee operational health, including on-call rotations, incident response, and SLO management.
- Partner with product engineering, data, and security leadership to ensure platform alignment.
- Drive identity, access, audit, and compliance efforts to integrate security into the platform.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines and test automation to reduce build times and increase developer confidence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps teams.
- Prior IC experience in infrastructure or DevOps disciplines.
- Proven track record of running on-call rotations with clear ownership and runbooks.
- Deep production cloud experience with at least one major provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong expertise in CI/CD and identity & access management.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

- Experience managing security programs.
- Multi-cloud experience.
- Experience scaling platform teams from 10 to 100+ engineers.
- Background in energy, utilities, or IoT domains.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools.
