What you will do
- Directly manage, recruit, and develop a high-performing team of Pre-Sale Coordinators.
- Oversee pre-sale execution, including the entry of complex consignment terms into SAP and management of auction calendars.
- Act as a senior escalation point for specialist departments to resolve operational issues and ensure quality output.
- Coordinate property movement, including inbound/outbound shipping, imports, and exports.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Legal teams to drive operational transformation and system improvements.
- Ensure all financial transactions and operations comply with corporate governance and risk standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
- 3–5 years of experience in management, operations, or logistics.
- Must be based in New York, USA.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
Nice to have
- Previous experience as a Pre-Sale Coordinator or relevant experience within an auction house.
- Working knowledge of Sotheby’s internal systems, procedures, and sale administration.
