What you will do

• Manage the buying and selling of warm vegetables, contracting with growers and coordinating freight.
• Bid on customer business, manage daily market pricing, and maintain strong margins.
• Provide daily pricing insights and analysis on market trends for the team.
• Maintain organized and accurate procurement records ensuring full regulatory compliance.
• Monitor order statuses and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Collaborate with internal contract and pricing teams to ensure invoice accuracy.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the produce industry as a warm veg buyer.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with procurement software and logistics/consolidation.
• Must be based in or able to work from the specified California or Georgia offices.
