What you will do

• Collaborate with the Accounting Policy team to help business units interpret and apply accounting standards to transactions.
• Utilize US GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory capital standards for deep policy analysis and application.
• Monitor emerging technical accounting issues and support the implementation of disclosure requirements in SEC filings.
• Develop and periodically update the firm's internal accounting policies.
• Partner with SEC Reporting and Legal Entity Controller teams to ensure financial statement accuracy and consistency.
• Deliver training and guidance to the firm on emerging accounting standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Accounting/Finance with 1 year of experience OR Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience.
• Location: Must be based in New York, NY.
• Direct experience with Accounting Standards Codification (specifically ASC 810, ASC 815, or ASC 606).
• Proven ability to conduct research and prepare technical accounting memoranda for complex issues.
• Experience assisting with the preparation or review of SEC 10-K and 10-Q filings.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent technical projects independently.
