Senior General Ledger Accountant

What you will do

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for the general ledger.
• Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals, amortizations, and intercompany entries.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies.
• Manage financial data imports/exports between ERP and other systems.
• Support VAT, tax reporting, audits, and adherence to accounting standards.
• Identify process improvements and collaborate with Finance, Payroll, Tax, and other teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in Germany with legal right to work there.
• Proven senior-level experience in General Ledger or Financial Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or local GAAP).
• Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills for large data sets.
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
