Accounting Team Lead (Fintech)

TL;DR

Accounting Team Lead (Fintech): Leading the financial close processes and overseeing GL, AP, and intercompany activities in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP with an accent on timely and accurate reporting. What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP.
• Oversee GL, AP, and Intercompany (IC) activities, ensuring compliance with group policies.
• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed on time and drive the timely resolution of open items.
• Coordinate and support statutory audits and tax filings across international entities, including IFRS to Local GAAP bridging.
• Own and manage intercompany processes, ensuring alignment across entities and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, providing guidance on day-to-day activities and fostering accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
• 6–8 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to GL, AP, and intercompany processes.
• 2–3 years of experience leading or mentoring a team.
• Working experience with HGB is highly preferred, IFRS is nice to have.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and strong Excel skills.
• Full professional proficiency in English and German (both written and spoken).
