Staff Engineer (Semiconductor Packaging): Designing and developing sensor products, semiconductor packages, manufacturing equipment, and tooling for prototype and volume production with an accent on package characteristics, materials, process technology, and cost improvement. Focus on analyzing new product and material options, defining electrical requirements, and solving manufacturing and packaging challenges.

Location: Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and implement new sensor products and semiconductor packages for new product introduction.
  • Source, evaluate, and analyze new products, designs, materials, and cost-improvement opportunities.
  • Define package characteristics that meet electrical requirements.
  • Develop manufacturing process equipment and tooling for prototype samples and volume production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, semiconductor technology, microelectronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, chemical engineering, or physics.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor packaging processes, materials, and technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with 2D AutoCAD and 3D drafting.
