What you will do

  • Maintain financial records and perform comprehensive bank reconciliations using Xero.
  • Prepare and issue accurate client invoices and organize all supporting billing documentation.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including professional follow-ups on overdue payments.
  • Ensure high standards of data integrity and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve existing bookkeeping and invoicing workflows.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership regarding payment tracking and the status of company receivables.

Requirements

  • Strong, proven working knowledge of Xero is essential.
  • Solid background in bookkeeping, invoicing, or general financial administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for professional client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently within Sydney, NSW, Australia business hours.
  • Proven track record of working effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience supporting Australian businesses or professional service companies.
