TL;DR

Location: Remote, most likely located in the Philippines. Fully remote from anywhere for 1 month per year.

What you will do

  • Prepare and lodge accurate BAS and IAS, reconciling GST and payroll liabilities compliant with ATO regulations.
  • Maintain full sets of financial records using cloud systems like Xero and Dext, including fixed assets, journals, and reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with bookkeeping and tax teams for accurate transaction recording and ledger integrity.
  • Assist in monthly management accounts and financial reports, providing clients with decision-making insights.
  • Provide payroll support and act as go-to advisor for clients' accounting needs under Australian standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience as Accountant in Australian accounting.
  • Most likely located in the Philippines.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Dext, BAS/IAS lodgements, GST/payroll reconciliation, ATO compliance.
  • Strong ownership, humility, structured thinking, data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, analytical mindset.
  • AI-ready mindset, tech-savvy for scaling services with software.

  • Experience identifying AI applications for accounting processes.
