TL;DR

Compliance and Permitting Specialist (Parking Real Estate): Researching, applying for, and maintaining permits, licenses, and tax compliance for 300+ US parking facilities with an accent on navigating regulatory processes and government interactions. Focus on proactive renewals, issue resolution, database management, and adapting to regulatory changes.

Location: Remote within North America (US time zones required), expect ~6 weeks travel per year to US cities for offsites, launches, and onboarding.

Salary: $24K – $30K

hirify.global develops an in-house operating system for parking real estate, handling payments, dynamic pricing, enforcement, analytics, and optimization using real-time data from cameras and sensors.

What you will do

  • Research, prepare, submit, and track permit/license applications for new facilities, resolving issues with agencies.
  • Manage renewals, database of permits/licenses, and monitor regulatory changes.
  • Handle tax compliance including sales tax, B&O tax, and parking taxes with finance team.
  • Conduct research, communicate with officials via phone/email/in-person, and standardize processes.
  • Maintain records, use project tools for deadlines, and update operations team on status.
  • Operate Avalara license management software.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in compliance, permitting, or regulatory role (commercial real estate preferred).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience navigating government processes for permits/licenses.
  • Open to ~6 weeks annual travel to US cities.
  • Located in North America, US time zones.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Avalara software.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance (sales tax, business taxes).
