What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, vendor, reseller, and partnership contracts.
• Advise internal teams on IP issues related to product development, branding, and content.
• Lead the IP strategy covering trademarks, patents, copyright, and trade secrets.
• Manage open source compliance and employee IP assignment processes.
• Develop scalable templates, playbooks, and processes for commercial contracting.
• Monitor regulatory developments in IP and commercial law to assess business impact.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of relevant legal experience, ideally across both law firms and in-house roles.
• Strong track record with commercial contracts and IP issues within the technology sector.
• Expertise in drafting and negotiation with a practical, risk-based approach.
• Familiarity with SaaS business models and open source software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
• Must be based in Madrid for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Previous experience working in a startup or high-growth company.
• Knowledge of data protection laws (GDPR) as they relate to IP.
• Background in AI/ML or digital content industries.
