Location: Full-time, onsite role based in the Memphis region (TN), with deep focus on Texas requirements. Willingness to travel to other project locations as needed.

What you will do

• Lead preparation, submission, and tracking of permitting applications for data center construction, expansions, and power systems.
• Manage Texas-specific processes including tax incentives, ERCOT interconnections, and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, legal, and facilities teams to compile technical documentation and studies.
• Build relationships with agencies, municipalities, and stakeholders in Texas and Tennessee to expedite approvals.
• Conduct site due diligence, gap analyses, develop permitting strategies, and track compliance obligations.
• Monitor regulations, advise on risks, prepare presentations, and support hearings or variances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Engineering, Law, or related field.
• Deep experience in data center permitting in Texas.
• Strong knowledge of Texas regulations: TDLR, TCEQ, local zoning, ERCOT, data center incentives.
• Proven track record managing complex multi-agency permits under tight deadlines.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with hyper-scale AI/HPC data centers or on-site natural gas generation.
• Familiarity with federal regulations (EPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act).
• Work with environmental consultants, traffic studies, noise assessments, community engagement.
