Civil/Structural Consultant (Engineering): Provides forensic consulting services requiring civil/structural engineering expertise for insurance, legal, industrial, and other clients with an accent on assessing cause and origin of structural failures, building envelope damage, and construction defects. Focus on determining extent and repairability of damage, preparing reports, and providing expert testimony in litigation.

Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. Up to 50% local/regional travel required; position located in Arkansas.

What you will do

• Perform investigations and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal matters.
• Conduct field investigations including on-site documentation, interviews, testing oversight, and review of drawings, contracts, and historical records.
• Prepare oral and written reports on causes of failure/damage, extent of loss, repair scope, and remediation recommendations.
• Provide expert opinions and testimony in litigation matters.
• Manage multiple projects, coordinating with other experts to deliver client reports promptly.
• Initiate, develop, and maintain client relationships.

Requirements

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree or higher.
• P.E. license required in the state of employment (Arkansas) or ability to obtain quickly; NCEES record preferred.
• 5+ years of experience; project management and/or field investigation preferred.
• Strong verbal/written communication, organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-assisted engineering/design software.
• Ability to travel up to 50% locally/regionally; physical demands include site inspections on roofs, ladders, attics, etc., lifting up to 50 lbs.
