Location: Tampa, Florida, United States. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required (or ability to obtain within 1 month). Up to 25% local/regional travel, occasional overnight.

Salary: $104,100 - $156,100

What you will do

• Prepare as-built drawings, evaluate structural systems in damaged/aging buildings, and conduct field assessments from ladders, scaffolds, rooftops, and confined spaces.
• Research building codes, create drawings/specifications, and design upgrades, maintenance, or restorations for existing structures.
• Lead project delivery, investigations, condition assessments, and technical reviews for complex assignments.
• Develop budgets, proposals, and deliver milestones while communicating with clients and supervising team members.
• Prepare concise reports, present findings, and mentor junior engineers on workstreams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience
• Active PE license in Florida (or obtainable within 1 month); valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong knowledge of structural systems, load calculations, material selection, and analysis for residential/commercial buildings
• Proficient in AutoCAD; ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently/collaboratively
• Excellent communication, report writing, presentation, and client interaction skills
• Capable of physical demands: lifting 50 lbs, climbing, site inspections in various conditions

• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM)
