Associate Principal Structural Engineer (Data Center)

Location: Remote or onsite in Lakewood, Colorado; applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States. Field work and 15–25% travel may be required.

Salary: $130,000–$175,000 per year.

What you will do

• Perform and review structural engineering design for electric power substations, including foundations, steel structures, grading, drainage, roads, buildings, bus and connection details, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with Technical Directors, the Vice President, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams on complex projects.
• Prepare hand calculations, computer-based calculations, structural models, cost estimates, budgets, proposals, and technical studies.
• Write and review material, construction, and steel specifications, and evaluate submittals for compliance.
• Check the work of designers, drafters, and engineers for quality and accuracy.
• Perform field inspections and construction supervision when required, while maintaining compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution; civil or structural emphasis preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain a PE within one year.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MathCAD, SAP2000, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, modeling and design software, and Microsoft Office.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
