What you will do

• Act as subject matter expert on complex civil/structural projects for substations, working with Technical Directors and VP.
• Review detailed structural designs including arrangements, foundations, steel details, bus connections, and drainage plans.
• Write and review material, construction, and steel specifications; review submittals for conformance.
• Prepare hand and computer-based calculations/models using tools like SAP2000 and PLS-CADD; perform field inspections.
• Prepare project documents like cost estimates, proposals, and studies; check work of designers and engineers.
• Assist in creating technical standards and maintain knowledge of codes/standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology (civil/structural or mechanical option preferred)
• 7+ years of relevant engineering or field experience
• PE licensure preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MathCAD, SAP2000, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office
• Effective written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
