Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace): Developing and building critical components and subsystems for long-range hypersonic strike vehicles with an accent on production-ready separation assembly lines and transitioning from development to high-volume production. Focus on designing processes, factory layouts, tooling, and supply chain integration to achieve rates of thousands of units per year.

Onsite at Torrance, CA HQ. Must be U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident (green card holder), refugee, or asylee per ITAR requirements. May require U.S. Government security clearance.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day production of mechanisms like separation systems and launchers.
• Develop process and factory designs to scale from development to production rates of 1000s of units per year.
• Create and refine process documentation including build instructions, test procedures, safety standards, and manufacturing BOMs.
• Manage detailed plans, schedules, and communication.
• Collaborate with supply chain to develop suppliers.
• Design and validate tooling; participate in design reviews for DFM.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or testing (or equivalent university extracurricular involvement).
• 5+ years manufacturing engineering for high-performance aerospace products (preferred).
• Willing to work extended hours/weekends, travel up to 30%, lift 50+ lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace mechanisms, structural welding, ordnance.
• NX/Teamcenter CAD/PDM, hands-on metal fabrication.
• Transitioning development to production processes.
