What you will do
- Define manufacturing strategies and build plans for next-generation aircraft programs currently in the design stage.
- Lead the development and implementation of scalable processes for aircraft installation, inspection, and testing.
- Serve as the technical authority for structural assembly, guiding design teams on manufacturability and production readiness.
- Set requirements for tooling strategies, fixtures, and production systems to ensure repeatable assembly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Certification teams to meet regulatory standards.
- Prepare plans for process validation, build readiness reviews, and first-article builds.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience with deep expertise in assembly and integration of complex assemblies or aircraft.
- Strong proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Model-Based Definition (MBD), and GD&T.
- Experience supporting prototype development, production ramp, and rate readiness.
- Ability to influence product architecture for manufacturability in fast-paced hardware environments.
- Must be authorized to work in the US; the company is unable to provide work visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with NX, Teamcenter, or SAP.
- Background in eVTOL or advanced aircraft development and Part 23 certification programs.
- Experience with composite and/or metallic aircraft assembly and system checkouts.
