Focus on transitioning complex aircraft assemblies to high-rate production, validating processes, guiding design architecture with DFM, and coordinating cross-functional certification and build-readiness activities.

Salary: $152,100–$190,100 base pay per year

What you will do
- Define manufacturing strategies, build plans, and assembly methods for current and next-generation aircraft programs.
- Develop and implement scalable aircraft manufacturing processes from prototype builds through high-rate production.
- Provide technical leadership for aircraft structural assembly, installation, inspection, and testing.
- Guide design engineering on manufacturability, process capability, and production readiness.
- Define requirements for tooling, fixtures, and production systems supporting repeatable aircraft assembly.
- Prepare process-validation plans, build-readiness reviews, and first-article builds in collaboration with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Certification teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience with deep expertise in assembly and integration.
- Experience developing manufacturing systems for complex assemblies or aircraft.
- Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, manufacturing process architecture, Model-Based Definition, and GD&T for aerospace structures.
- Experience supporting prototype development, production ramp, and rate readiness.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to influence engineering and operations organizations.
Nice to have
- Experience with NX, Teamcenter, or SAP.
- Experience supporting Part 23 certification programs.
- Experience with system checkouts or testing.
- Experience with composite or metallic aircraft assembly.
- Background in eVTOL or advanced aircraft development.
