Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

What you will do

• Read and understand architecture and functional requirements specifications, collaborating with systems engineers and architects.
• Validate one or more functional blocks using simulation, formal, and coverage methods.
• Contribute to verification planning, functional coverage definition, and formal test plans.
• Create or integrate testbench environments, components, agents, scoreboards, and test scenarios using SystemVerilog UVM and C.
• Perform coverage-driven verification, monitor regressions, and debug failures with designers.
• Report status updates regularly.

Requirements

• Located in Ottawa
• Electrical/computer engineering, computer science or related degree (BEng/BSc, MEng/MSc or higher).
• Proficiency above intermediate in SystemVerilog, UVM, SVA, and major simulators.
• Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently and as a team player.
• Ability to methodically solve sophisticated technical problems.
• Excellent written and oral English interpersonal skills.
• Proven digital verification and coverage strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with formal verification methods.
• Knowledge of OTN/FlexO/B100G, Ethernet (100GE+).
• Experience with GIT and Jira.
• Familiarity with Python, Make, bash, C, C++, object-oriented programming.
