What you will do

• Design, prototype, test, and improve system sub-assemblies.
• Assist in the mechanical assembly and maintenance of complete quantum systems.
• Perform and document system-level tests and troubleshoot supply service systems.
• Create detailed designs and document assembly procedures.
• Collaborate on multidisciplinary projects spanning engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent training.
• Experience with solid-modeling and detailed technical drawing.
• Proficiency in designing for machining and metal forming processes.
• Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cryogenic and/or high vacuum equipment.
• Software programming experience.
• Knowledge of complex manufacturing processes and material selection.
• Experience assisting with Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for production.
• Ability to register with EGBC.
