Quality Systems Technician

TL;DR

Quality Systems Technician (Manufacturing): Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of digital quality systems, smart tools, and quality infrastructure with an accent on EQMS platforms, AI cameras, and digital inspection devices. Focus on troubleshooting technical issues, integrating tools into production processes, and automating quality records and traceability.

Location: 100% in-office presence required in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. No remote work offered.

Compensation: CAD $25.00 - $33.00/hr

What you will do

• Support setup, configuration, and validation of quality systems including smart tools, AI cameras, and digital inspection devices.
• Troubleshoot issues in EQMS platforms, smart inspection systems, and quality data capture tools.
• Integrate new tools and systems into production processes with engineering, IT, and quality teams.
• Build and maintain process flows, control plans, digital documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
• Support digitization, automation, and standardization of quality records, inspection data, and traceability.
• Participate in pilot runs, monitor system performance, provide shop floor support, and coordinate with vendors.

Requirements

• Diploma or technical certification in Quality, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2+ years in manufacturing or engineering support, preferably with quality or production systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in hardware and software.
• Ability to read technical drawings, flowcharts, and system diagrams.
• Comfortable in cross-functional environment with engineering, IT, and operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools; good communication and detail-oriented.

Nice to have

• Programming/scripting experience with Python, SQL, VBA, or similar.
• Familiarity with EQMS platforms, process automation, smart inspection technologies.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Serialization, traceability systems, digital quality records, manufacturing data management.
• Ability to develop scripts for data validation, automation, dashboards, and reporting.
