Salary: $210,000 - $234,000

What you will do

• Lead the in-house simulation product team in designing and delivering services for stakeholders across business development, mission design, and flight software engineering.
• Align technical roadmaps with product requirements and mission needs to shape architectural direction.
• Collaborate with physical-modeling experts to develop performance specifications and integrate models into complete products.
• Integrate feedback from client teams to drive iterative improvements to simulation products.
• Partner with the Software Test team to incorporate simulation tools into automated testing campaigns.
• Mentor Simulation and Test team engineers and define success metrics to drive company goals.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) for access to export controlled information.
• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer in a team environment.
• Strong proficiency in both a high-level scripting language and a compiled systems language.
• Proven ability to collaborate with specialized experts to deliver complex, cross-functional products.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with numerical simulation techniques and fluency in statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of the Julia language.
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration, Docker containers, and cloud environments (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps best practices, and Software-in-the-Loop simulation.
• General familiarity with orbital satellite operations.
