What you will do

• Build and own production-grade simulation and forecasting software for the logistics forecaster.
• Implement mathematical models and numerical methods where correctness is based on physics or math.
• Integrate simulation capabilities into TyrOS workflows in collaboration with the platform team.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and maintain engineering rigor.
• Debug and triage production issues to ensure system reliability and rapid iteration.
• Collaborate with military stakeholders and product managers to meet real-world sustainment requirements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in scientific or mathematically complex domains (e.g., sensor algorithms, motion planning, simulation).
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Go.
• Strong foundation in production-quality engineering, rather than pure research or analysis.
• Background in math or science through a degree, graduate work, or professional experience.
• Ability to reason about correctness in terms of physics or mathematics.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Rosslyn, VA; New York City; or Seattle, WA

Nice to have

• Experience at a defense-adjacent autonomous systems company.
• Degree or graduate degree in physics, applied mathematics, aerospace, or mechanical engineering.
• Familiarity with numerical simulation frameworks or scientific computing libraries.
• Experience deploying software to AWS, Kubernetes, and edge infrastructure.
