Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 CAD

What you will do
- Provide strategic and actionable legal advice on key business portfolios and emerging technologies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial contracts, including complex technology vendor and cloud agreements.
- Mitigate potential legal risks while delivering practical and pragmatic solutions for time-sensitive projects.
- Advise on operationalizing contracts within a complex, multi-vendor environment.
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to internal knowledge management and precedent development.
Requirements
- Law Degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 2-5 years of practical post-call legal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Eligibility to work for Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
- Working knowledge of privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements for the financial services industry.
- Proven experience advising on competition, intellectual property, technology, and licensing matters.
- Strong critical thinking and ability to manage legal and reputational risk.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working for technology vendors or within the payment industry.
- Knowledge of the Code of Conduct for the Credit and Debit Card Industry in Canada or the Payment Clearing and Settlement Act.
- Experience with government and regulatory affairs.
