Head of Software Engineering (OpsTech/Logistics): Leading the OpsTech organization to develop and maintain the data tools, integrations, and internal platforms powering smart locker operations with an accent on automation, ERP migration, and operational efficiency. Focus on transitioning from Airtable to Odoo and building a unified operational platform (OperationsOS) to connect human actions and AI-driven insights.

Location: Hybrid (Lisbon, Portugal). Monthly in-person meetings at the HQ office in Lisbon are required.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the OpsTech organization, managing around 20 people including Engineering Managers.
• Drive the strategic transition from Airtable to Odoo as the primary operational system of record.
• Oversee the build-out of OperationsOS, a unified platform connecting field processes and AI insights.
• Define the integration and automation strategy across Odoo, Airtable, HubSpot, and partner systems.
• Collaborate with Operations leadership and other internal stakeholders to align roadmaps and priorities.
• Shape the organization's structure, headcount planning, hiring strategy, and career paths.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles managing managers or team leads.
• Proven track record leading multi-team organizations of 15+ engineers.
• Technical credibility in ERP platforms (Odoo, NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics), data platforms, or internal tooling at scale.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD, and observability.
• Fluent communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
• Experience managing operational platforms where the primary customer is an internal department.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience leading Odoo implementations or comparable ERP transformations.
• Experience building internal platforms, workflow automation engines, or low-code/no-code transitions.
• Background in products combining hardware and software or operationally complex domains like logistics.
• Experience scaling engineering teams from early-stage to 100+ people.
