TL;DR

Retirement Analyst (401k plans / administration): Supporting strategic design, administration, and analysis of company’s retirement and wellbeing programs with an accent on plan compliance, employee engagement, and financial insights. Focus on administering defined contribution plans, ensuring regulatory adherence, and delivering data-driven reports to leadership.

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY (minimum 3 days per week in office at 229 West 43rd Street)

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000

What you will do

  • Support administration of 401(k) plans including design, compliance, vendor management, audits, and nondiscrimination testing.
  • Develop and execute wellbeing initiatives, analyze engagement data, and align with HR and business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, and SEC regulations while maintaining documentation and fiduciary oversight.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and insights on plan metrics, participation, and wellness KPIs for leadership decisions.
  • Deliver employee communications, education resources, and respond to inquiries on retirement and wellbeing topics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in retirement plan administration and/or financial wellbeing programs
  • Strong understanding of retirement plan regulations and financial wellness trends
  • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and HRIS systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills

Nice to have

  • ASPPA, CEBS, CRPS, or other relevant certification
  • Experience with financial wellness platforms and retirement plan recordkeeping systems
  • Familiarity with behavioral finance and employee engagement strategies
