TL;DR

HRIS And Operations Specialist (HRIS): Managing and optimizing HR systems and people data to streamline HR operations with an accent on system administration, data integrity, and automation. Focus on leading HRIS implementations, integrating tools with BI and Finance systems, and providing analytical workforce insights.

Location: Remote or Lakewood, CO. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 per year

What you will do

  • Act as the primary administrator for HRIS (Paycom), ensuring total accuracy and integrity of employee and compensation records.
  • Partner with IT and Finance to optimize HRIS integrations with BI tools and Deltek Vantagepoint.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights into workforce trends and rewards metrics.
  • Lead HR technology implementations and system enhancements to support core people programs.
  • Manage HRIS security, role-based access, and user permissions in compliance with data privacy standards.
  • Identify and automate People Operations processes to improve scalability and employee experience.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in HRIS or HR systems ownership within a multi-state organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a primary administrator for an HRIS (e.g., Paycom) including configuration and optimization.
  • Advanced Excel expertise and strong data reporting capabilities using BI tools.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and create structured systems and plans from scratch.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting payroll operations, audits, and HRIS-payroll integrations.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
  • Prior experience in engineering, consulting, or project-based professional services environments.
  • Familiarity with change management practices related to organizational transformation.
