TL;DR
Senior Officer, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (Africa, Europe & Middle East): Lead DEI efforts across regions, providing strategic guidance, advisory support, and execution for foundation-wide DEI strategy with an accent on context-specific content, cultural alignment, and partnership management. Focus on designing and delivering DEI learning initiatives, integrating inclusion into business functions, and driving change management through coaching and tools.
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; London, UK; Nairobi, Kenya. Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship. Up to 30% domestic and international travel.

What you will do
- Act as DEI SME, providing thought partnership and guidance to leadership and teams across Africa, Europe, and Middle East.
- Lead development and implementation of regional DEI strategies and workstreams, including leadership effectiveness.
- Partner with senior leaders and regional leads to drive inclusion strategies aligned with foundation priorities.
- Integrate DEI into operational, talent, and programmatic efforts across teams.
- Provide country-specific DEI guidance reflecting global and local contexts.
- Design and deliver context-informed DEI content and facilitate learning sessions.
- Manage external DEI partners, contracts, and portfolios.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years in DEI, inclusion, organizational development, or change management at senior level.
- Experience designing and implementing DEI tools, processes, and learning agendas driving impact.
- Experience facilitating dialogue, learning, and engagement in global contexts.
- Ability to build trusted relationships, influence leaders, and manage complex workloads.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural adaptability, and strategic thinking across geographies.
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
- Must be able to legally work in the country of the position without visa sponsorship.
